A solid opening episode.
8 February 2018 | by Sleepin_DragonSee all my reviews

Francesca and friends hold a seance in a basement cafe, chilling prophecies are received and normal life continues. However, five years later, those prophecies begin coming true, and one by one members of that group begin to lose their lives. Francesca has had better luck, meeting the wealthy Oliver Halkin, and his son Edward. Francesca discovers that Edward has a deep interest in the deaths of her friends.

Prophecy serves as a solid opening episode in the series, the episode relies on acting and great story telling as opposed to special effects. It is indeed good storytelling, I was reminded of Final Destination, parallel in a way that one by one people meet with grizzly ends, all seemingly accidental.

Sophie Ward is excellent, such a beautiful, talented actress, whatever she appears in she adds something extra to. Nigel Havers very good as always, as was Tony Haygarth.

More psychological drama then chiller, but still very watchable.
