Margot Robbie Explains That the Birds Of Prey Title Reflects That It's "Not a Very Serious Movie"

Margot Robbie recently showed up on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and once again confirmed that the full title of her Birds of Prey movie is Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). She also explained that they decided to go with that long title to reflect Harley Quinn’s personality. She also says that it reflects that this is not going to be a very serious movie.

“It’s not a very serious movie, so we thought the title should reflect that. Birds of Prey makes it sound very serious, and then that’s kinda like Harley adding her ‘Hey, I’m in this, too.”

The title hints that that the story will catch up with Harley Quinn when she's freed herself from her destructive relationship with The Joker.
